Muslim dance
Here is Trinity and her classmates doing a Muslim dance for her Lebaran Celebration in school. Hari Raya Aidilfitri (also Hari Raya Puasa, literally "Celebration Day of Fasting") is the Malay term for the Muslim festival of Eid ul-Fitr. Hari Raya is also known as Lebaran. This was filmed last 9th October 2008.

Princess Trinity

Princesses like Cinderella, Belle of Beauty and Beast, Briar Rose of Sleeping Beauty, Snow White you name it, are very popular with young girls ages 3 to 13. Trinity is a fan of the Disney princesses and she knows all their names by heart. I am now familiar with all their names, thanks to my daughter hahaha… The gown and shoes she was wearing on the photos were gifts on her 3rd birthday. Since then this gown has been worn every day for a maximum of 30 minutes a day.
Korean Dance

A year end concert means there are dancing and singing in Trinity’s school. Their class did a Korean dance and it was a pleasure to watch her danced. My husband can’t help but look at her on stage while filming her dance. I was so proud the way she dances, she was very graceful and she knows her dance. The mothers beside me were very impressed as well as the staff and teachers in her school.

Kinderland School

This is Trinity’s school uniform. This was her first time in school and she was enrolled in Pre-Nursery 2 because of her age, she just turned 3 years old here. In Asia it is pretty normal to start enrolling children at a very young age, as young as 1 year old. Some parents would hire a private teacher for their children so they learn they numbers, writing, reading etc. at a very young age. My husband mentioned that in Australia learning how to write and read would start at the age of 5. I am not sure if that has change already since my husband is in his 40’s anyway hehehe… I started going to school when I was 6, I was in Kindergarten.Poser

I was once told that I was a poser and I would probably admit that I am when I was younger. Although I still like to strike some pose sometimes if I want a fresh photo of myself. I have probably passed it on to Trinity which is a good thing. It can be fun sometimes just like these photos. Trinity and I were having a breakfast at one of the hotels in Singapore last May 2008. I can’t remember the name of the hotel because silly me I don’t update my daughter’s website often and forgot all the names of the hotels and restaurants we’ve dine-in and stayed on the first quarter of this year. Anyway back to the story. Trinity was playing around the cafĂ© while waiting for me to finish my breakfast. She eats fast when she likes her food and takes 3 hours if she doesn’t fancy it. As I sip my coffee I heard her say “Mommy please take a photo of me”. I looked at her and I panicked to get my camera as soon as I saw all the poses she made. A group of elderly people were giggling while watching her. One woman said, “You got most of her best poses!”

First Day of School

After we visited a couple of schools we finally decided to enrol Trinity in Kinderland Pre-School just 5 minutes walk from our apartment. We had to take the car or a taxi when we send her to school or pick her up from school, because of a very heavy traffic just outside the apartment. She had a very exciting first day and didn't even notice that I left already. Picking her up was a bit difficult during the first day too because she didn't want to leave the room hehehe. She was in Pre-Nursery 2 when we enrolled her.
